Bidding operations are fairly limited in scope within the Polkadot ecosystem. Users can place bids for very specific purposes such as:

• a membership on Kappa Sigma Mu Society (Kusama)

• a parachain slot lease during Parachain auctions (Kusama and Polkadot)

Polkadot auctions are the main entry point for Web3 projects into the ecosystem.
